Each blade is real pattern-welded Damascus, so the layered pattern runs through the steel. Each wooden handle is hand-finished with engraving for a secure, comfortable grip. The set comes in a leather knife bag that protects the edges in a drawer and makes the knives easy to carry to work, cooking classes, a barbecue or a campsite. Damascus takes a very sharp edge and is easy to restore on a whetstone. Because it is not stainless, wash the knives by hand, dry them straight away, and never put them in the dishwasher.
